Our Story
Drywall Techs & General Contracting isn't just a business — it's a family legacy. What started as a father teaching his sons the art of drywall finishing has grown into a full-service contracting team serving all of Northern Utah. That 70+ years of combined experience was passed down on job sites, not in a classroom, and we're still passing it to the next generation.
Growing up around the work taught us there are no shortcuts to quality. Every seam we tape, every texture we apply, and every repair we complete reflects the same values: integrity, precision, and doing the job right the first time. What We Do
We specialize in drywall installation and finishing, repairs and patching, painting, finish carpentry, basement finishing, and complete home remodels, plus commercial projects. We also handle ceiling repair and popcorn-ceiling removal, soundproofing, custom entertainment centers, and demolition and removal.

Most drywall repairs don't fail because the hole was patched badly — they fail because the patch is visible afterward. Our finishers hand-match orange peel, knockdown, skip-trowel, and hand-troweled textures so a repair disappears into the surrounding wall instead of announcing itself under the light. It's the part of the trade that takes years to learn, and it's the reason people call us after a first attempt didn't blend.
How We Work
- Free, no-pressure estimates. We walk the space, talk through options, and send a written line-item estimate — typically within 24 hours of your request.
- Honest scope. If a job doesn't need the premium finish level, we'll say so rather than upsell you into one.
